Rick Chong – Lead Trainer and Consultant
Rick Chong has over 21 years of experience in procurement, supply chain and facilitation where he successfully led procurement operations, cost savings initiative, reorganization projects, system integrations, training and consultancy.
Rick is held in high esteem in the public sector in Singapore due to his stint in the Ministry of Finance where he rewrote the procurement policy and his implementation of the Procurement Competency and Training Framework for the Singapore government.
Although his forte is obvious, he has ventured successfully into the training and development arena where he has facilitated training in Leadership, Teambuilding, Communication, Presentation and Negotiation courses. He is able to transfer his facilitation skills across different industry such as government, logistics, airline and banking industries.
Having lived and worked in many countries, including Germany, Portugal, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Thailand, Rick has a wealth of experience training in different countries and different culture. One of the more outstanding project done by him was the cost savings of a million dollars on raw materials during his time with Singapore Airlines.
Rick is an ACTA certified trainer and has achieved the Statement of Attainment in Project Management Professional, He is a MOE registered trainer and certified SAP Consultant among his other qualifications. He has also graduated with a Master of Learning and Professional Development with distinction in 2022.

Emily Wong (Ms)- Associate Trainer and Consultant
Armed with vast training experiences for both the adults and young, Emily has trained various educational institutions in public speaking and presentation, social etiquette, leadership, effective communication, service learning, design thinking, financial and media literacy, innovation and social business entrepreneurship.
For over three years, Emily is also an associate trainer with Civil Service College training public officers in government procurement policies and specifications writing. She conducts team-bonding events for organisations with emphasis on values such as teamwork, mindfulness, organisation values, communications and negotiations skills.
Emily has thirty years’ working experience in various government agencies in areas of procurement and project management. She has also developed numerous charges in management skills and job competencies for diligent discharge of their work duties.

Mr Khai Rassidy- Associate Trainer and Consultant
Khai Rassidy has a combined experience of 18 years in the maritime, aviation, traffic, IT projects and security risk management.
As a former law enforcement officer, he was involved in various security operations in the maritime, aviation and state events; Singapore’s repatriation of the last batch of Vietnamese refugees’, IMF World Bank, Formula One, SGSecure and others.

Ms Parvinderjeet Kaur- Associate Trainer and Consultant
Parvinderjeet has over 25 years of working experience in the public and private sectors. She brings 16 years of training experience to the classroom. She has helped organisations develop and strengthen professional skills such as communication, teamwork, customer service, business writing, time management, creative thinking and problem solving. She uses innovative teaching methods and is often lauded for making her classes interactive, interesting and engaging. She also oversaw major Human Resource (i.e. recruitment, training and development, appraisals, staff welfare activities, leave and salary matters) and procurement functions (from budgeting to actual purchase of items).
Parvinderjeet has been volunteering in the Residents Committee in her estate for the past 5 years. She provides secretariat and event management support and is involved in the communications, publicity and event planning needs of the committee. The main role of the community is to serve the residents of the estate and to reach out to residents to foster neighbourliness and the “kampong spirit” within the estate.

Mr Derek Teo – Associate Trainer and Consultant
Mr Derek Teo is a human resource practitioner with more than 7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
Derek was responsible for driving the Employer Branding at PSA Corporation Ltd to successfully update their employer branding strategy.
He was one of the architects behind the the Land Transport Authority ‘s strategic Student Outreach “Innovators Needed” campaign in 2015, a gamified approach to attract engineering talents to build their careers in the industry.
Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts from NUS, a Graduate diploma in Employment Relations from OTC Institute, and is a certified Gamification practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr Koh Gim Liong – Associate Trainer and Consultant
Gim Liong has worked in the civil service and private sector for more than 10 years before he made a career switch to training. His experience is diversified and covers training, financial advisory, project management, ERP implementation, business process re-engineering, auditing, financial and operations management.
He began his career as an auditor in an international accounting firm before joining the public sector as an accountant in the Accountant-General’s Department, Ministry of Finance. During his secondment to the Singapore Police Force, he was responsible for the finance operations and implementation of key financial initiatives. At the Ministry of Education, he was managing the operating budget section and evaluating budget proposals. Gim Liong also worked in a listed financial institution where he led the team responsible for accounting (covering operations, acquisitions and investment products).
In the area of training, Gim Liong has conducted more than 1,000 workshops with learners from more than 10 countries. Over the past 13 years, he has been sharing his knowledge and experience in areas like financial advisory, accounting, investing, budgeting, procurement, outsourcing as well as the governance framework in the Singapore public sector. He has extensive experience in managing learners with diverse cultures and backgrounds, given his interactions with participants from countries in ASEAN, Middle East, India, Pakistan, Russia, China, Bhutan, etc. Outside Singapore, he has conducted programmes in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Nauru, Palestine, Jordan and Qatar. On professional courses, he has taught CFA Level 1 Preparatory Programme and Financial Accounting (in both English and Mandarin). Gim Liong graduated from Nanyang Technological University. He is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore (CA Singapore) as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder. Ms Lim Phay Yen – Associate Trainer and Consultant
Phay Yen has been actively involved in teaching and training for many years. As an Associate Trainer with the Civil Service College, she enjoys teaching the Communication Skills courses such as Grammar for Effective Communication, Fundamentals of Editing, Emails @ Work, Write for Your Audience, Standard English or Singlish for Communication, Writing Reports and Proposals, and Writing Minutes of Meetings.
Phay Yen holds a Master in Education, with a specialization in English Language Education, in addition to her BA (Honours) degree and post-graduate Diploma in Education.
Phay Yen has more than twenty-five years of teaching experience in tertiary education. She began her career as a teacher in a junior college before moving on to teach Language and Communication Skills at a polytechnic. She is currently a part-time tutor at the Centre for English Language Communication, National University of Singapore (NUS) where she has taught oral and written communication skills to undergraduate and post-graduate students for several years. She has also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to foreign adult learners in the English Communication courses at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS) and Centre for Professional and Continuing Education, Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Ms Florence Au ─ Associate Trainer and Consultant
Florence has been a trainer for more than 30 years training adults in both spoken and written English skills. She was the Head of Department managing and developing English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) language programmes for foreign students in Singapore. In addition, she has trained hospitality staff on speaking skills.
As a class debater and class representative in oratorical contests, Florence has always been passionate about how she should speak clearly and correctly to be understood by all kinds of audience.
Very often in course evaluations of her training, her course participants have described Florence as a professional trainer who injects humour in her training. They often commented that her delivery was clear and concise.

Ms Audrey Lai ─ Associate Trainer and Consultant
Audrey has been a business English trainer for 20 years. She brings with her a wealth of working experience in the public and private sectors in the areas of finance, property development and project management. As a trainer, she has developed and trained business English programmes for different government ministries, statutory boards and the private sector. These programmes include business grammar, email writing, minutes writing, report writing, proofreading, editing and online dictionary skills. Over the years, she has built up designing skills and facilitation experience to meet the needs of learners from diverse backgrounds and different work cultures. Apart from face-to-face facilitation, she has also started designing and conducting virtual training with good responses. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, Audrey is also able to empathise and motivate her learners to maximise their potential in language learning. She has consistently received good feedback on her subject knowledge, clear instructions, practical examples and interactive methodology for the programmes she conducts.
